Health technology pioneer DrFirst today announced the winners of its annual Healthiverse Heroes Award program, honoring healthcare providers and organizations using technology in innovative ways so patients can achieve better health.
Sitka earned a Gold Award for its innovative use of technology that connects primary care providers with specialists to inform patient care.
The Healthiverse Heroes Award is an extension of DrFirst’s efforts to Unite the Healthiverse, a term the company coined to represent its vision for connecting healthcare stakeholders with the information they need when they need it.

Nominees were judged by DrFirst’s clinical team, led by its chief medical officer and representatives with backgrounds in medicine, nursing, and pharmacy. Nominees come from throughout the Healthiverse and are not limited to DrFirst customers.
